福音的义
这恩赐，是圣灵借着大能的运行，栽种在神每一个儿女心里、使人得着新生命的超自然原则。
这义有两个层面：归算的义与赐予的义。归算的义，是基督为信徒成就、使他得以在神面前被称为义的称义之义，这被称为“神的义”（罗3:21）。与此相对，赐予的义则是基督在信徒里面所成就的义。
这义原不是神儿女自己里面固有的，但我们借着信心，得着它的益处，如同是我们自己成就的一样。也正因如此，耶稣被称为“耶和华我们的义”（耶33:16）。
神命定归算的义，作我们称义的根基，也作赐予之义蒙悦纳的凭据。归算的义属于第四件军装，就是“信德的藤牌”，也被称为“因信而得的义”，因为它是借着信应用在灵魂上的（罗4:11）。而这里被比作护心镜的义，则是成圣之义，是基督赐入信徒心灵中的义。这恩赐，是圣灵借着大能的运行，栽种在神每一个儿女心里、使人得着新生命的超自然原则。这是基督徒蒙神悦纳、受人认可的唯一途径，也是我们得以遵行神话语要求的唯一方式。现在，我们将更详尽地查考圣灵的这项大工。
若圣灵不在根基之处，枝子上就绝不会结出“圣灵所结的果子”，也就是圣洁（加5:22）。“属乎血气”与“没有圣灵”，是分不开地连在一起的（犹19）。人堕落的时候，失去的不只一样：他既失去了神对他的爱，也失去了他与神相似的形像。
基督为神的儿女恢复了这两样失落：第一，借着祂的义归算给他们；第二，借着祂的灵，把神的形像重新赐给他们，这形像，就是“真理的仁义和圣洁”（弗4:24）。

EVANGELICAL RIGHTEOUSNESS
This gift is a supernatural principle of new life planted in the heart of every child of God by the powerful operation of the Holy Spirit.
This righteousness is twofold—imputed and imparted. Imputed righteousness is what Christ works for the believer, the justification which lets him stand righteous before God. This is called “the righteousness of God” (Romans 3:21). By way of distinction, imparted righteousness is what Christ works in the believer.
Although this righteousness is not inherent in God’s children, we receive the benefit of it by faith, as if we had effected it ourselves. This is why Jesus is called “the Lord our righteousness” (Jeremiah 33:16).
God ordained imputed righteousness to be the basis for our justification and to be also the ground of acceptance of imparted righteousness. This righteousness belongs to the fourth piece of armor, “the shield of faith” and is called “righteousness of the faith” because it is applied by faith to the soul (Romans 4:11). The righteousness therefore which is compared to the breastplate here is the righteousness of sanctification imparted by Christ into the spirit of the believer. This gift is a supernatural principle of new life planted in the heart of every child of God by the powerful operation of the Holy Spirit. It is the only way Christians can seek God’s approval and man’s and is the only way we can perform what His Word requires us. We shall now study this work of God’s Spirit in more detail
If God’s Spirit is not at the root, no “fruit of the Spirit”—holiness—can be found on the branches (Galatians 5:22). “Sensual” and “having not the Spirit” are inseparably coupled Qude 19). When man fell he lost both God’s love to him and his likeness to God.
Christ restores both losses to God’s children—the first, by His righteousness imputed to them; and the second, by His Spirit re-imparting the image of God, which consists of “righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24).
